Questions You Should Ask When Interviewing A Realtor To Sell Your Home: 

1.  How long have you been in real estate?  

Fortner:  20 Years in Real Estate and still loving it.

2.   Are you a full-time agent? (According to the NRA 23% of agents are part-time)


Fortner:  Yes, Full- Time!

3. The experiences of previous Buyers & Sellers are a good barometer of how effective a Realtor is. Can you provide us a third party website we can review clients feedback and comments?

Fortner: Yes

4. Networking is another crucial marketing factor in selling a home. Do you have personal networking relationships with the top agents from the top companies in my area?

Fortner: Yes.  I work with many of the top agents in the county through  personal and professional relationships.   I like to showcase my homes during the  Granbury Association of Realtors (GAR) weekly Realtor luncheons as well as ensure they are on tour for other agents at my brokerage.

5. How many homes did you sell 2019?

Fortner: 35 (2019)   30 (2019 to Date Aug 2020 closed)

6. How many homes do you have under contract ?
Fortner: August 2016  - 2 Homes scheduled to close in September & October

7.  Are you partnered with the world’s largest, most stable, and most importantly, innovative and successful real estate company?

Fortner:  2019 Total $15,311,900.00 ,  As of January 2020  $12,730,145.00

9.  Do you have an assistant to help with marketing, scheduling, & paperwork so that your own time can be spent working with Buyers & Sellers to sell my home?

Fortner: Yes - I have 2 dedicated assistants one of which has been with me 7 years.  They help to ensure my time is spent selling your home.

10.  How will my home be marketed?

Fortner: We use a wide variety of marketing techniques from the latest innovations to old fashioned networking and open houses.
Our marketing strategy may includes but is not limited to:

  • Professional Photography - This is the first image 98% of all buyers have of your home

  • Accurate and Complete Listing information on NTREIS (North Texas Real Estate Information System)

  • National Web Marketing on major Real Estate Websites

  • Social Media Marketing and Posts on sites such as Facebook, YouTube, Twitter

  • Open Houses, Signage, Local Newsprint and Real Estate Magazines

  • Agent Tour during first month of listing - provide  feedback on what we can do to make your home more "sell-able"

  • Weekly GAR Networking Luncheons - If we can schedule your home for one of these we will.
